We discovered the Doom soundtrack after playing around with the insane sound design Mick Gordon created for this video game blockbuster. In this video he explains how he used a simple sine wave and guitar pedals to summon some of the most ridiculous bass sounds you’ve ever heard!

Mick was not only responsible for Doom, but also contributed compositions to Need for Speed and Wolfenstein – so the name will most likely ring a bell for video game aficionados. While the majority of the soundtrack has a lot of heavy metal influence, ‘Authorization; Olivia Pierce’ is a dark, eerie synth only track that perfectly represents the mood of the game. If you like it dark – this one’s for you!

Goes Best With

Playing Doom or working on on those skinny white gamer arms in the gym.
