We’ve been a fan of fellow German Stephan Bodzin ever since we discovered him back in the Myspace days. His profile picture showed his trademark shaved head strapped to the back of a bicycle. Our kinda guy. We can’t seem to find the pic anymore, if you can, let us know 😉

Our favourite track back then was “Liebe Ist” from his debut album with the same title, released in 2007. The song still sounds amazing today. It keeps building and building until you are kindly granted relief at the 5 minute mark. The lead synth is fully opened up and you are treated with a harmony variation.

Stephan, who lives in the German seaside town Bremen, puts his Moog synthesizers hard to work, be that live or in the studio. For his 2015 album “Powers of Ten” he decided to release “Synthapellas” of all tracks. You can check them out here. Lovely synth-only stuff.
